IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE, BOWEN DUKUS SCORED AND MANCHESTER UNITED 0-2 WEST HAM UNITED FAILED TO WIN IN THREE GAMES

Manchester United’s road troubles continued as Erik ten Hag’s team suffered a disappointing Premier League defeat against West Ham on Saturday. The match remained evenly poised for over an hour, but a moment of brilliance occurred when Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen combined effectively down the right flank, resulting in the opening goal. Shortly thereafter, Mohammed Kudus unleashed a powerful strike to secure a second goal, effectively putting the game out of reach for Manchester United. The defeat added to United’s woes and highlighted the need for improvement in their away performances.
West Ham climbed into the top six of the Premier League standings with a convincing 2-0 win over Manchester United at the London Stadium. Despite Manchester United’s hopes of building on a morale-boosting draw against Liverpool, it was West Ham who had the best opportunity in a relatively quiet first half, as Alejandro Garnacho squandered a one-on-one chance against Alphonse Areola. West Ham had posed minimal threat in attack until the 72nd minute when Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net, scoring his 11th league goal of the season after receiving a sublime pass from Lucas Paqueta.
West Ham further solidified their lead by doubling their advantage just six minutes later. Lucas Paqueta played a key role again, releasing Mohammed Kudus who skillfully evaded his marker before firing a low shot into the far corner of the net. This goal put West Ham in a comfortable position and sealed their victory.
As a result of the win, David Moyes’ side surpassed Manchester United in the standings, climbing to sixth place and bridging the gap to the top four to just four points. On the other hand, Manchester United dropped to eighth place after suffering their eighth league defeat of the season. They now find themselves six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, having played an additional game.Looking ahead, Erik ten Hag’s team will host Aston Villa on Boxing Day, while West Ham’s next fixture is an away match against Arsenal on Thursday, December 28th.
